Dual core Atom Z630 processor for SONY VAIO P coming

  • Sharebar

Computercityhw is taking preorders for the SONY VAIO P equipped with the latest Atom Z630 processor. So far, we have heard nothing about this processor from Intel, but rumor has it that it would be the first dual-core Atom CPU that would be used in netbooks (considering the fact that VAIO P is a netbook, which we think it is).

Price? It costs 1489 euros, which is pretty steep for a netbook. That said, no other netbook manufacture is offering Z630 Atom processor in their netbooks either. So, this gives the VAIO P a distinct advantage over the other netbooks.

The official Sony China website shown P29 is in fact Z530, so definitely typo on Computercityhw’s part.
