Dell Inspiron m101z with Ubuntu Light OS shipping out

  • Sharebar

Canonical revealed earlier in the year that it is making a much lighter version of the Ubuntu Linux so the Quick Boot option can be implemented. The resulting system is Ubuntu Light. The principle here is that you can run the system on a full feature OS like Windows. When you boot, you can either go to the Ubuntu Light that takes half the time or even less to boot compared to Windows that takes a minute to start. Dell implements it on the Inspiron m101z. One of the reasons why it is fast is because the add and remove program option has been removed. It still needs a little more review to find out if the system is really going to really come through the market.
