Chrome OS will play your local music!
Google is busily engrossed in providing local media playback functionality in the Chrome OS. Google knows that Apple iSlate is a potential threat to the Chrome OS netbooks and slates (tablet). iSlate, being a multimedia-machine will be excellent at media playback and Google certainly does not want the iSlate to have an obvious advantage over the Chromium devices.

I have been waiting on Google Chrome’s extensions for quite some time … Up to now I have played with 6 of them and am awed with it. FF has recently slowed down & the plugins are welcomed.
