ASUS to lower down the prices of its 7-inch and 8.9-inch netbooks to clear stock

ASUS is now focusing on clearing the stock of its 7-inch and 8.9-inch netbooks by reducing their price. At many places, the EEE 701 (7-inch) is being sold at $150 and 8.9-inch EEE (EEE 901 and EEE 900) at $200.

It is not surprising to see that all the manufactures have shifted their whole focus to the 10-inch+ netbooks. The reason is simple: bigger displays means bigger chassis, which lets them to fit in a bigger keyboard.
