Asus 1201T review
Asus Eee 1201T is a decent netbook that is powered by the AMD-powered processor instead of the Atom processor that one commonly finds in a netbook. Its immediate cousin – the Asus eee 1201N is outfitted with Intel Atom N330 dual-core processor that is more commonly found in nettops.
Update – more pictures added

The Asus Eee 1201T has a 12.1-inch display with the resolution 1366×768. The display is glossy-type, thus making it a bit hard to use in direct sunlight. Nonetheless, the display looks wonderful inside.
Like every other manufacture under the Sun, the eee 1201T too sports a chiclet keyboard. Boy, the keyboard is fantastic – simply the best we have ever used on netbooks. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same for its finicky touchpad, but yes, it is good enough to get the job done. Just like rest of the Eee Seashell range, it has a single bar for handling left and right clicks

Its performance is pretty much satisfactory. Local media files include 1080p videos play like a duck soup, thanks to the GPU. Unfortunately, it cannot play Youtube HD videos that does not take advantage of the GPU.

Ports -
On the left side, you will find the power port and a USB 2.0 port

And on the right side, there are two more USB 2.0 ports, SD card reader, Kensington lock, LAN port, earphone and microphone jack

Speakers
The speakers are pretty loud for a netbook – Louder than other netbooks we have tested (Acer Aspire D250, Eee 1008P, Eee 1101HA and so on). Watching a movie may not be good idea though as they lack bass, but for YouTube clips, they are good enough.
Battery Life – The Asus 1201T comes with a 4400mAh user-replaceable battery. While browsing the web via Wi-Fi, I was able to get nearly 3.5 hours of usage. I am yet to use it for games though. I am sure that games that will push the CPU and GPU to its limits will guzzle the battery juice like anything.
Verdict – The Asus Eee 1201T is an attractive netbook and even though it features a nice 12-inch display, it still manages to weigh in just 1.46kg.

I agree with Kamal regarding the keyboard. I played with the 1201t at the local BB store and was pretty impressed with the keyboard. That little right shift key could have been a bit bigger for sure
This is Asus’ 100000th offering in the past few weaks. Next week, Asus will come up with something called 1201TT or 1201P. Combination of stupidity and utter disgrace
Finally, a review of the Eee 1201T is online. Damn, that Experience Index is the best I’ve seen on a netbook. What games can you play on this thing. I’ve heard that the ATi 3600 HD card is capable of playing some really good games out there.
That thing appears huge to me. Still thinking whether I should save a bit more bucks and get a real 12 inch notebook instead.
I am sure Mr Steve Jobs would love this thing – about the size of 12-inch macbook and cheap!
Can this play NFS most wanted, GTA VC with no hiccups at all?
i would like to ask, can i play sims 3 with this?
because i am thinking of buying this… tnx ^.^
i want to know that when you say the it took 3.5 hours in internet is it in hi performance of balance or saving power
You should be able to get that in power saving mode while on Wi-Fi
