the second (-) turned into a (+) :-)

With Windows 7 it can play 720p and 1080p videos without any problem. just use a player that makes use of the GMA500's hardware decoder (the standard Mediaplayer that comes with Windows 7 is enough!)

Yes, it can, but don't plan on doing heavy duty image editing on it. You can install the app via either by downloading the installer from Adobe's website or by using external USB DVD reader. You can also use your spare laptop with DVD drive and share it via LAN/WLAN

It IS possible to run smooth 1080p with just 1GB of RAM. All you have to do is use a capable player. MPC-HC is one of these and very capable of using DXVA (which is the hardware accelerated video you're looking for). Just google something like "gma 500 dxva" and you're off :)

I have this netbook in blue the 2G version with win7.
I am able to play my full HD 1080i video that I took on my SONY HD camera.

at begining i tried alot of players including the sofware that came with the SONY , bu video had frame drops. but windows media player is able to play the video with no frame drops on HYPER mode. with the 48 mah battery I can work about 6 hours before recharge with wifi and hyper mode. on battery save and no wifi about 9 hours.

Actually I have no problem playing 720p videos on my 1101HA. I have the new revision that comes with 2gb ram and windows 7.
Another downside with it is the support for opengl.

Too bad that this netbook comes with Atom z520 cpu. No 720p video in year 2009?

Kamal, How do you compare its performance with your vaio p? I guess that is also using the same processor :/
