Acer 1830 now available in US
It has taken Acer few months to get the Acer TimelinX 1830 Core-i series netbook in the US. This is for those who was waiting for a mini-laptop powerful than the a Atom netbook.
Acer gives you the choice of Core i3 330UM or Core i5 430UM processors. Both run at 1.2GHz clock speed and come with 3MB of cache, but the Core i5 one come with Turbo Boost technology. Other specs include Intel HM55 chipset, 4GB RAM, up to 500GB HDD, HDMI port, D-Sub connector, memory card reader, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Ethernet, webcam and 3x USB ports.
Acer 1830 weighs-in at 1.4kg and comes equipped with a 6-cell battery (4400mAh) which should give you 6-7 hours of runtime.[via tc9]
