Dell Mini 1012 review

Dell Mini 1012 is the first Mini by Dell to receive the latest Pine Trail Atom N450 processor. This is an upgrade to the Mini 10V and comes with a slew of improvements over the original 10V.

Few folks have already received their Mini 10V and have found it to be pretty impressive.

Here are few pros and cons about this netbook:

Pros:
>>Easily upgradeable memory
>>Flush sitting 6 cell battery
>>Disk looks easier to get to also
>>Hard Drive Activity Light
>>Power plugs in from the back

Dislikes:
>>The 2 tone top and bottom
>>The bottom of the unit looks very cheaply made
>>The way that the back of the unit sticks out past the screen. LCD is not flush or behind like the others
>>When the unit is closed the back extends past the LCD
>>They still didn’t add an eject button for the flash cards. Cards still stick out
>>VGA port instead of HDMI port
>>Webcam is way too noticeable.

This Mini 10V with Atom N450 CPU has excellent battery life of ~8 hours on a single charge.
