Acer 532H review

  • Sharebar

If you are out for a little machine that you can carry around with you everywhere you go, then this is the machine you should go for. The Acer Aspire 532H sells for $299 and comes in a variety of colors and options. The Aspire 532H uses the pine trail CPU from Intel – Atom N450 that runs at a clock speed of 1.66GHz.

The 532H has good battery life and performance for a small price tag. The 532h is available in two configurations. The entry level model costs just $299 and comes with a 4400mAh 6-cell battery. The other version comes with a bigger 5600mAh 6-cell battery and more spacious 250GB HDD. The HDD is replaceable via its back-panel.

Common attributes include a 10.1-inch display with 1024×600 resolution, same N450 processor, 1GB RAM (upto 2GB supported), chiclet keyboard and Windows 7 Starter OS. Although priced cheaper than the competition, Acer has NOT compromised in its design and build quality. Battery life is around 8 hours (via laptopmag) and touchpad is also great to use. Battery run time is just above 8 hours which means that you can pretty much leave that adapter at home when moving-out.
