Pioneer ePad N7 now available for purchase

Pioneer Computers, an Australian-based company has made the ePad N7 available for purchase. This tablet/MID runs on an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor (T20 Dual-Core). It comes with Android OS and sports a 7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 4GB flash drive, 3G radio (optional, costs A$100 extra) and 802.11n Wi-Fi.

It boasts 1x USB 2.0 port, HDMI port,  headphone jack, SIM card slot, DC-in, on-board microphone and docking port. The Pioneer N7 ships with Android 2.1 OS and our guess is that it would not include Gmail app, Google Maps or Android MarketPlace access. Costs A$500 (US $450) without 3G option.

Unlock FM on Archos 5 Internet Tablet

Unlock FM on Archos 5 Internet Tablet

Most of us are not aware of the fact that the Archos 5 Internet Tablet comes with a built-in FM radio, but the user is not allowed to use it. The only app that can use it is the GPS app. To counter this problem, Furies at archosfans has created a widget that allows the user to use the FM function. Download the file from the source given at the bottom of this post.

How to install? Just copy the apk file to your Archos and the tablet will itself ask you if you wish to install it.

Malata Zpad

Malata Zpad

Malata Zpad is yet another Android tablet that looks very much like the Apple iPad. However, it tries its best to distinguish itself by equipping itself with Tegra 2 chip and a bigger 10.2-inch display.

It runs the latest Android 2.2 OS and also has the ability to play 1080p videos, thanks to the Nvidia Tegra 2 chip inside. Unfortunately, there is no information on its price/availability

It comes with 8GB of flash storage, OpenGL support, VGA camera, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Saycool M5A Review

Saycool M5A Review

Shuai Cool rolled-out M5A tablet back in the month of June. This tablet is a different animal – different in the sense that it uses Atom processor instead of ARM platform. The Shuai Cool M5A is powered by an Atom Z515 processor, and features a 5-inch display and runs Windows XP/7 OS. Midbbs, a Chinese website was lucky enough to play with one of these and were not impressed with its short battery runtime and the fact that it runs hot just after few minutes of usage.

The unit they received for review came with 1GB RAM, 16GB SSD, and 2x USB ports. The device features built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G radio to keep you connected while on-the-go. The 3G module in this small tablet also allows the user to make phone calls (by attaching headphone and microphone?)
