Nokia has unveiled the successor to the original Nokia N9000 communicator  – the Nokia E7 communicator. It boasts a huge 4-inch capacitive display, a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard and a sleek stainless steel case. Anssi Vanjoki is calling it the best business smartphone till date.

The Nokia E7 features full Microsoft Exchange integration, Office Document viewers and OVI apps, including OVI Maps. Unfortunately, it does not runs Meego and instead comes with Symbian v3 which is optimized for touchscreen devices. It measures 13.8mm thick and sports a nice 8MP camera capable of shooting 720 video. You also get 16GB of flash storage to store your content. As expected from a high-end device, you get HDMI out and Dolby Digital Plus Surround Sound support.

Chinese Telecom giant, ZTE will be launching its new V9 tablet with side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. The Tablet sports 7-inch display and runs Android OS, mostly likely 2.1. It is also likely feature 3G radio.

The company also mentions that it will be launched in Asia, Europe as-well-as America in the coming months and its price will be 50 percent lower than the smartphones around. We have no idea what that means – hard facts is what we want!

Archos 5 Internet Tablet ships with Android 1.6 OS (Donut), but OpenAOS team has been working diligently from the past few months to get the latest Android 2.2 on the MID. They have finally been able to get OpenGL 3D Acceleration in Android 2.2 OS which was not possible, until now.

That said, it is still not possible to run advanced 3D games on the device.

There have been countless rumors about the possible tablet coming from Samsung called the Samsung Galaxy S Tab. Guess what, Samsung just made it official via Twitter that the company will be unveiling the tablet coming September 2, 2010.

Detailed specs are not out yet, but we do know that it will be running Android 2.2 OS and will be equipped with a 7-inch capacitive display. It will also have video calling, Swype, HD movie playback, Flash support, GPS navigation and an e-reader app.

SmartQ V3 – New Sub-100 dollar tablet

SmartDevices has unveiled a new Android MID called V3. The SmartQ V3 features an ARM11 600MHz processor, 4.3-inch 800×480 resistive touchscreen, 256MB DDR2 RAM and Android 2.1 OS.

It will retail at around 100 dollars, making it one of the cheapest SmartQ MIDs ever made. There is no word on when it will be released.
