New Windows Phones Form Factors
Almost a week after Microsoft announced specs requirements for new Windows Phone devices (NFC functionality and full microSD support, camera button, multi-core processor), new form factors are published.
Details are slowly trickling down, so we will have to sit down and compile it all, but at this point we can say Microsoft really tries to cover all the bases. There is a smaller Windows phone with Blackberry like physical keyboard. We see a small iPod Nano like device. Then again smaller Windows phone with bottom navigation buttons much like in Android smartphones. Larger 4-inch plus device with no bottons on the front or below the screen resembles Galaxy Note by Samsung.
Without further speculation, let’s say Microsoft with its upcoming Windows Phone 8 OS is trying hard to keep up with iOS and Android in many ways. Adding new form factors to their repertoire of Windows phones is certainly a good idea.
