BestBuy and Staples to sell Microsoft Surface tablets

We were discussing reasons for timid sales of Microsoft Surface tablets despite the good reviews. Up until now Microsoft Surface tablets were available online and in Microsoft stores only.

Staples (1900 locations) and BestBuy (1400 locations) announced they will be fully stocked by this weekend. 32G Surface tablet will sell for $500. For $100 more you get it with cover keyboard. Walmart is also expected to stock their shelves with Surface Windows RT tablets, but there has not been a confirmation.

Microsoft is still on target for January sale of Surface Pro Windows 8 tablets starting at $899 for 32 GB model. Cover keyboard will cost you another $120 or $130.
