Samsung Series 7

With the emphasis on high-performance and easily portable ultrabooks at last week’s CES 2012, the trend is design was towards sleek, minimalistic, businesslike design.

Samsung pleased us with the Series 5 ultrabook but also unveiled a slightly larger Series 9 powerhouse. Yet they also released a garish canary-yellow gaming notebook , wielding a set of top specs – Intel Core i7 quad-core CPU with up to 16GB RAM and 2TB of hard disk storage space.

The canary-yellow Samsung Series 7 Gaming Notebook features a 17.3-inch 1920 x 1080p LED-backlit display, and they’ve ticked all the boxes by including a backlit keyboard for candle-lit gaming sessions. Samsung will also be offering AMD Radeon or NVidia graphics cards in the Series 7 Gaming Notebook. Both 2D and 3D versions will be available. Of course, Samsung Series 7 NP700Z5A laptop doesn’t come cheap – the Gaming Notebook is expected to retail for around $2000 when it reaches the US.
