MSI GT780DX – First Look
MSI’s latest device is the GT780DX gaming laptop.
The 17.3 inch display includes either full HD or HD+ resolution with contrast-promoting LED backlight. Churning the pixels is an 1.5 GB GDDR5 NVidia GeForce GTX 570M graphics card.
The 428 x 288 x 55mm metal chassis houses a 2 GHz Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU, with 8 GB of RAM, a hybrid SSD-traditional HDD storage solution and a 2.1-channel Dynaudio sound system with 7.1 surround sound system connectivity. Altogether it weighs a gargantuan 3.9 kg. A 720p high-definition webcam is built into the bezel.
The SteelSeries keyboard features multicolor back-lighting. Portwise, the GT780 DX offers two USB-3 sockets, HDMI port, and WiFi-n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity. The DT 780DX is expected to cost around $2700.
