Maingear Titan 17 Gaming Notebook – Preview
The Maingear Titan 17 Gaming Notebook is another desktop-processor packing behemoth – hardcore gamers and creative professionals are targeted in the upgrade to the new Sandy Bridge-E 2011-pin CPU.
The Titan 17 is available with either an Intel i7-3930K or i7-3960X Extreme Edition processor, although budget machines they ain’t – prices start at $3499 for the base model. The entry-level Titan 17 boasts a six core Intel i7-3930K CPU, paired with 8GB of Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3 RAM and a premium 2GB NVidia GeForce GTX 580M graphics card. According to Wallace Santos, CEO of Maingear, ‘The new Maingear Titan 17 offers the best in desktop replacement versatility.’
But the premium version is the one that made our mouths water; Sandy Bridge-E Core i7 Extreme Edition CPU with two – two!!! – NVidia GeForce 580M cards paired in SLI and with the option of Quadro 510M graphics. Maingear Titan 17 is the ultimate in mobile computing.
