Acer Chromia 700 with Google Chrome OS. Samsung has developed Series 5 Chrome notebook and Chromebox Chrome PC. X13 been everyone to the punch by building first ever desktop computer running Google’s Chrome operating system. X13 ChromiumPC is supposed to be released on July 4th. Anyway, back to Acer’s very own collaboration with Google about their new and exciting operating system Chrome. Acer Chromia 700, otherwise known as Acer AC700 Chromebook, will be released in middle of July. Amazon has this Acer AC700 Chromebook (Wi-Fi) offered at very low price of $349.99. This is Acer Cromia AC761-1099 model with WiFi only. Acer Cromia AC761-1529 is model WIFi and 3G model and it will sell for $429.99.

Acer Chromia 700 runs 1.6GHz Intel Atom N570 processor with Intel GMA 3150 graphics. Display is 11.6 inch with resolution of 1366 X 766. Chromia 700 has 2GB of RAM and weighs 1380gm (48.7 oz). For connectivity we have 802.11 b/g/n WiFi (or 3G and WiFi). Front Facing camera has 1.3Mp. Battery is 6 cell Lithium-Ion and it should last about 8 hours.

BestBuy will have Samsung Chromebook in white and Titan Silver will be offered with 3G for $429.99.
