Acer AO751H REVIEW (same as Acer LT3000) (Acer Aspire One 751)

With so many netbook manufactures now breaking into the 10-inch+ screen limit, Acer was no way going to left behind in the business where it actually rules. The Acer A0751H is the first Acer Aspire One to sport an Intel Atom Z 520 processor that is clocked at 1.3GHz. However, the best part of this netbook is its resolution: 1366 x 768 px, which gives it an obvious edge over its competitors. So, was it able to impress us?

After the sweet success of ASUS EEE S101, ASUS rolled out a hard disk version of it, the EEE S101H. It is built along the lines of S101. It is just 2.5cm thin; weighs just 1.1kg and its metallic finish makes it perfect for making a style statement. But, do not go swayed away by its looks, it is pretty powerful too. Making GPS to work on Dell Mini 9

Here are 7 steps that you can follow to get the GPS to work on Dell Mini 9:

1. Open the Device Manager and de-install ALL “Dell Wireless 5530 HSPA Broadband MiniCard” entries. (This includes entries under “Modems”, “Network Adapters”, “Ports” and “Universal Serial Bus controllers”!)
2. Download THE LATEST DELL DRIVERS (A07) and install them.
3. Repeat step 1, then step 2(the install part ) and step 1 again (YES, JUST DO IT!) and restart ur computer. Now wait until all the devices have been found and installed. Check in the Device Manager (there should be no components left that require attention (with yellow marks) – if yes, reinstall the driver package one more time). Make sure u have a device called “Dell Wireless 5530 HSPA Mobile Broadband Minicard GPS Port (COM[?])” under “PORTS”.
4. Download the Dell Wireless Manager here: LINK and install the application. Once installed, this will control ur broadband connection from now on as a replacement for the Vodafone Software that came with the Laptop. Once installed, open the application and go to “View”, “GPS”. Select “GPS ON” – u should be receiving a GPS Raw Stream in the lower part of the window.
5. Download EarthBridge and Google Earth and install both.
6. Start ur GPS (c step 4) and then start EarthBridge. In EarthBridge, go to “Preferences”, select the GPS Port (u can find the port number on the Dell Wireless Manager – GPS-page). Configure EarthBridge to ur needs (like open Google Earth automatically and so on…).
7. Move to an area with clear view of the sky (it will not work inside). Hit the “Connect to GPS Device”-Button in the EarthBridge window and start GoogleEarth
