ASUS EEE 1101HA review

The ASUS EEE 1101HA is the epitomization of good looks combined with great battery life. It carries the same Seashell design like its 10-inch brother, EEE 1008HA. But, the ASUS has entering a bit late into the 11.6-inch netbook market, but that does not make it an unattractive deal by any chance. It is a great netbook.

Acer AO751H REVIEW (same as Acer LT3000) (Acer Aspire One 751)

With so many netbook manufactures now breaking into the 10-inch+ screen limit, Acer was no way going to left behind in the business where it actually rules. The Acer A0751H is the first Acer Aspire One to sport an Intel Atom Z 520 processor that is clocked at 1.3GHz. However, the best part of this netbook is its resolution: 1366 x 768 px, which gives it an obvious edge over its competitors. So, was it able to impress us?

ASUS P565 benchmarked – It truly seems to be the Fastest Windows Mobile for sure!

update: see the speed comparison VIDEO of HTC DIAMOND and ASUS P565 here

update: see ASUS super sensitive screen video here

update: see unboxing pictures here

Here comes the highly awaited phone from ASUS, which claims to be world’s fastest PDA-Phone. It arrived yesterday and after posting unboxing pictures, I went straight to do some benchmarking. Without wasting more time, let us take a look at the benchmarks.

For the benchmarking test, we used 3 devices: ASUS P565, ASUS P552W(review) and HTC DIAMOND(review). The ASUS P565 is the first windows mobile device powered by Intel Marvell Tavor 800MHz processor. Infact, it is the first mobile device to be powered by such a powerful processor. ASUS P552W is also an extremely fast device powered by Intel Marvell Tavor 624MHz processor. The HTC DIAMOND is powered by Qualcomm 528MHz processor.

Let the game begin!

As one can observe, the ASUS P565 scored the best in almost everything. Note that since ASUS P552W is a QVGA device, it’s processor has to do comparatively less work when it comes to graphic processing. Since, the users would be having their eyes on the VGA devices, which in this scene are ASUS P565 and HTC DIAMOND, it would be more appropriate to pay more attention to their performance.

Now, let us take the ASUS P552W out of the scene to make the comparison more fairer.

Leave the benchmarks aside, does it really feel snappy?

Yes, it does. It is definitely lot snappier than the HTC DIAMOND, whose processor is shared by the likes of HTC TOUCH PRO and HTC TOUCH HD too. Overall, a very nicely made device and we are indeed very impressed with the ASUS P565.

On a side note, the touch screen is very very sensitive!

Stay tuned for the full review, which will be published in few days!

I have just tested the actual p565 out of the box with std apps attached to it and found out that it is not the fastest & smoothest pda phone around even though it comes with a 800mhz processor , supprisingly it still cant beat htc touch hd & after so many compliments and benchmarking test by so call experts reviewer , it still lags here & there , inconsistant high speed & slow speed when u use it , u can imagine of it hanging / freezing if u install more apps / games into the p565 . The glide ui is the worse in lagging terms , i think maybe it’s due to low ram – 128mb and it’s slow rom , maybe have to wait for rom upgrades to see again how it perform , but until now , only people who dont know about htc brand may be induced into buying asus . Asus still a year or 2 back in terms of smooth speed processing when compares to htc in my opinion . I felt dissapointed because of wrong info gathered from a few reviewers of p565 that it is the fastest pda phone around , but they didint mention intermittent lagging when u use it . To confirm my findings , please test the actual unit first before u buy , if i m wrong then pls let me know because i m a keen follower of speedy pda phones . So far i found iphone is best & htc touch hd second , anyone have any other brands & make u find good or better , pls feel free to comment , thks & cheers :)
However the price is quite attractive around usd 630 , which is lesser than htc & some others but still cant claim to be the fastest if it is not smooth enough consistantly right ?
If you have tested p565 with various benchmarks as above shown to everyone , how come it is still lagging here n there when u use it ( with out-of-the- box standard applications loaded ) on the program page , the setting page , even on the glide ui page , plus the screen sensitivity is not that great too – in my opinion ? I think benchmark testing is one thing and actual usage testing is another in which i have a simple test ran on it and it really differs from your benchmark figures , this i wonder why ? Thanks again & cheers :)

@ Jimmunsw: It is sad to find out that your experience was not nice with the P565.

The screen sensitivity is great. See the below video. Otherwise, you will have to go in for the capacitive display

Also, see this speed comparison video, where I have compared the diamond with the P565. Regarding menus, it is the nature of windows mobile cache the icons when browsing the programs and settings.
