HP Chromebook 11 G5 is not yet official, but an internal document of the American company shows us a preview of his appearance and the full specifications. Will have an Intel Celeron N3060 (Braswell) and optional touchscreen.
HP Chromebook 11 G5 is equipped with a processor Intel Celeron N3060 (Braswell) dual-core 1.60GHz (up to 2.48GHz in Turbo Boost) with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM or 4GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM , under a display 11.6-inch HD (1366 x 768 pixels) optionally available with Gorilla Glass NBT and touch.
As usual then, for all products with Chrome OS, Google offers 100GB of free space on Google Drive for two years. The rest of the equipment includes two USB 3.1 ports , an HDMI 1.4, audio jack, a 720p webcam and an SD card reader, in addition to the combo module Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi 802.11ac . There is no trace of the SIM card slot, but it could be a WiFi-only model, because HP has also become accustomed to 3G and 4G-LTE versions. The battery (2 cells) has a capacity of 43.7 Wh , but we do not know for now the estimated range.
Measuring 205 x 286 x 18.4 mm (compared to 20.4 the previous model) and weighs 14.1 kg (non-touch) or 1.87 kg (touch), almost 100 grams lighter than the older generation.
According to chromiumnetbookscom, HP Chromebook 11 G5 should be launched soon, probably by June, and although at the moment is not yet available in stores we think that its price will be very similar to the Chromebook 11 G4. We do not be surprised to see it on sale for July to just over $ 200.
