AMD new E-450 processor
AMD is working on a new chipset. AMD E-350 processor, used on popular notebooks such as HP Pavillion dm1z, Asus Eee PC 1215B, or Sony Vaio YB, will be replaced by the all new AMD E-450. AMD was displayed at Computex this year. AMD-450 will offer better graphics and speed, while keeping the same low 18W TDP (power consumption).
Dual Core AMD E-350 was clocked at 1.6 GHz, while AMD E-450 will be stretched to 1.65 GHz with integrated and faster Radeon HD 6320 graphics. GPU will thus go from 508MHz to 600MHz. Both are capable of playing 1080p HD video. AMD E series has been designed to extend battery life by sipping very low energy. They are not the speediest of processors but are very popular in budget to mid range notebooks.
