Google Nexus 10 to trump new iPad
On Friday, October 26th, a Surface RT tablet is expected to ship. Microsoft has high expectations of these Surface tablets as well as of their new Windows 8 operating system up for release tomorrow.
Will Google stand by and watch, or will they counter with a solid uber-tablet? According to CNET, Google is making preparations to launch a 10-inch tablet that will compete with challenger Surface and incumbent iPad.
Speaking of iPad, one of Microsoft’s engineers claimed while back that their new Surface tablet has a better resolution than iPad. This was of course childish and untrue, but new Nexus 10 may trump iPad’s retina 2,048×1,536 pixel resolution (264 ppi).
Google Nexus 10 will have a 10.1-inch display with an amazing 2,560×1,600 pixel count, which translates to 299ppi. Nexus 10, codenamed Manta will feature newest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean os.
Google has partnered with Asus to produce their Nexus 7 which is a great success. Nexus 10 will be made in cooperation with Samsung. The announcement is scheduled for October 29th, which is a big day for Microsoft as well as they’re releasing Windows Phone 8 OS.
