Google has planned to release a 4, 7 and 10 inch tablet this year. Nexus 7 has been the first and very successful tablet. Recently launched Nexus 10 that Google made with Samsung is certainly one of top choices for a 10-inch tablet. Google has also launched a 4-inch tablet smartphone in collaboration with LG.


LG Nexus 4 is an elegant dream phone for a bargain $299 with no strings attached. Design is sleek with curved edges, unibody back and scratch resistant 4.7-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen. The dimensions are 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1mm or 5.27 x 2.70 x 0.36-inch. It weighs 139g or 4.9oz.

True HD IPS Plus capacitive has 768 x 1280 pixel resolution and picture perfect 318 ppi pixel density.

Multitasking is handled well thanks to powerful and snappy 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro cpu working with 2 GB RAM. Graphics are Adreno 320. Storage options are 8GB or 16GB and no microSD slot, but Nexus 4 comes with Google Cloud services integrated so really there is plenty of storage available.

Nexus 4 is ideal for fast surfing HTML5 browser as it is equipped with wireless speed DC-HSDPA at 42 Mbps It also has HSDPA at 21 Mbps, or HSUPA at 5.76 Mbps. Dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n is also present. Nexus 4 also has Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS. Ports available on Nexus 4 are microUSB v2.0. Nexus 4 is capable of Qi wireless charging.

On a software side LG Nexus 4 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with sports document viewer, image and video editor, all Google docs, Picasa, Predictive text input and much more.

There are two cameras, front facing 1.3 MP and rear 8 MP camera capable of recording 1080p videos. The bigger camera features autofocus, geo-tagging, LED flashTouch focus, face detection and photo sphere for 360 degree pics.
