Amazon Fire sold in Staples and Best Buy
Amazon is doing great with preorders of their new Amazon Fire tablet (over 100,000 already). New models of e-ink Kindle tablets will be dedicated for retailers like Staples and Best Buy. Amazon states that 40 percent of shoppers still prefer buying in brick and mortar stores. This is why Amazon decided to also supply stores with its new tablets.
Retailers like Target and Walmart have already carried Amazon ereaders so it is fairly likely that these two will also join Staples and Best Buy to sell Amazon Fire tablets in their stores. Retail edge should not effect online sales but rather enhance already large sales of ereaders. Wall Street estimates 15 million of Amazon Fire sold by 2013.
