The IRIS: future of Asus

  • Sharebar

Asus showed off a number of interesting concepts at this years CES in Las Vegas. Waveface is a futuristic concept that consists of a series of screens that can be used to interact I many aspects of life and is in the form of wrist screens, hanging devices and tablets. The vision transformed into IRIS which stands for Inspirational Research for Immersive Space. Asus has revealed a video that reveals the use of one device in various ways as a personal computer, business device and a wearable gadget. These concepts may be too much for practical thinkers but these kinds of things push the envelope of design and technology of the future.

Check out this futuristic Asus Iris ad video:

Waveface is a platform that doesn’t yet exist but in Julius Verne kind of a way it soon will. Asus considers Waveface Casa, Waveface Light, and WaveFace Ultra as seen in this futuristic video.

Waveface Casa is a large screen, an entertainment center, Waveface Light is a light-weight tablet designed for cloud computing and Waveface Ultra is this wearable computer in a shape of a bracelet or watch. These of course are just concepts in 2011 but that does not make them impossible. I for one cannot wait what near future will bring.
