Ubuntu TV Demos At CES 2012
There have been rumours that Ubuntu would arrive on our TVs at some point, though few people would’ve expected it at this year’s Las Vegas CES. Nevertheless convention-goers can feast their eyes on a preview in Las Vegas. Granted, it’s largely a technical demo as opposed to a foretaste of the content we can look forward to,
but smart features on show include a 3D dashboard, searchable guide and apps for streaming video.
Canonical, the company behind the project, says it aims to simplify the online TV experience, primarily by removing the cables and boxes, which it claims have turned people of the concept so far.
