AT&T is picking up BB Z10 on March 22nd

BlackBerry Z10 handset will hit the shelves of AT&T for $199 on two year contract.



First BlackBerry 10 device is finally making it to AT&T’s 4G LTE network. Pre-orders have been rolling in since yesterday March 12th. A lot is riding on Z10 and upcoming Q10 handsets for BlackBerry, as it lost most of the smartphone market share in last two years, primarily to iOS and android.

Z10 smartphone features the new BlackBerry 10 operating system and over 100,000 apps through BlackBerry AppWorld. Blackberry upgraded BlackBerry 10 Android runtime to run Jelly Bean apps, which should make it much more feasible for app hungry crowd.

BlackBerry Z10 runs on dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor with 2GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of built in storage expandable via microSD card for up to 64 GB. Z10 has 4.2-inch HD capacitive, multi-touch display with 768 x 1280 pixel resolution and 356 ppi pixel density. 1800 mAh battery lasts 10 hours of talk time.

8 megapixel 1080p Time-shifting camera takes numerous iterations of your last picture taken, so you can easily choose the best picture. There is also a 2 megapixel fron facing camera for video chat. Unlike android or iOS, BB10 features People Hub, which unifies all notifications on one screen. BlackBerry Balance makes BB10 stand out. It makes a clear distinction of personal part of your phone and the corporate one. BlackBerry 10 is the most secure mobile operating system. It is FIPS certified as safe and secure communications. BlackBerry Z10 is a premium and flagship device that is outstanding on many levels, but it comes in time of a very tough competition of HTC’s ONE and Samsung’s Galaxy S IV scheduled for launch tomorrow.

In United States, BlackBerry Z10 will be sold in AT&T as well as in T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless for $199 on a two year lock. Unlocked, Blackberry Z10 can be picked up for $689.
