Blackberry Z10 and Q10 launched
Blackberry 10 will try hard to appeal to new clients. Recent poll by Bite Interactive suggests that 47 percent of participants liked at least some of the new features Blackberry 10 has to offer.
Blackberry Z10 and X10 including new Blackberry 10 operating system have been unveiled today. RIM has a loyal base of about 80 million clients, most of whom are business clients. If RIM is to attempt to regain some of its traction it must appeal to new clients. There are some features Blackberry 10 brings to the table that are unique and very attractive.
BlackBerry 10 is the only operating system certified by Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS 140-2) for safe and secure encrypted communication.
Time-shifting camera allowing you to pick best faces to complete your perfect group picture should be well received.
For socially connected people Blackberry Hub is something unique. It is one central place where one can find email, SMS, calendar, BBM, FaceBook and Twitter notifications.
Virtual ‘predictive’ keyboard on Blackberry Z10 in essence learns how a we type and helps to determine next best guess. I personally have Bold 9900 and I am one of the few who absolutely love typing away on the hard QUERTY keyboard, but as touch-screen typing goes, this predictiveness may be the next best thing. This one feature alone may convince quite a few buyers to choose BlackBerry Z10.
Blackberry 10 Virtual ‘predictive’ keyboard
RIM introduces two new Blackberry 10 smartphones, Blackberry X10 and Blackberry Z10.
Blackberry Z10 features 4.2-inch touch display with 1280×768 pixel resolution. Z10 features BlackBerry Flow UI that boots fast, offers quick browsing and supporting Flash. Flow has been designed for busy people as it handles true multitasking without a stutter.
Blackberry X10 has a smaller 3-inch OLED touch-screen with 720×720 pixel resolution (330ppi) and physical QWERTY keyboard, all powered by 1.6GHz dual-core chip.
RIM markets their new BB10 handsets as “One device for work and play”. Blackberry 10 allows for two profiles. One for work and one for personal stuff.
Time will show how well received these two and other Blackberry devices coming this year will be.
OoVoo video chat app for up to 12 people all at once using various platforms is in cue to be unveiled later on this year.
