The Chinese telecommunications and computer equipment company, Huawei, is rumored to be teaming up with Google for the creation of their next Nexus phone nicknamed “Bullhead.” This collaboration could involve the Google Play Store being brought to China because it would get preinstalled on the Huawei Nexus when it gets released there. If Google pulls this off then they would be opening up their stores to a whole new market of consumers. Rumors also suggest that the agreement between Google and Huawei would involve a way to introduce the Huawei Watch into the Western marketplace. There may even be a possibility that this Android run wearable will work with iPhones as well. But these are all just rumors and there are no guarantees that any of it will happen.
The main obstacle Google faces is gaining reentry into the Chinese marketplace. Right now they are only helping with the development of the next Nexus phone, but there are no guarantees that the Google Play Store will be on there. This is just a wish that Google wants to make come true. The good news is it looks like the United States will be getting the phone very soon. The device contains a 3500mAh battery and 5.7 inch screen display, which would ultimately make it a phablet because of its above average size. In the mean time, LG is developing another Nexus phone with the nickname “Angler.” This will be a smaller Smartphone with a 5.2 inch display, a 2700mAh battery, a Snapdragon 808 processor and a totally new exterior design.
Google hasn’t released any specifications on the hardware for the Nexus devices yet. Critics think Google is waiting to release their next version of the Android operating system called “Android M” before they give out the hardware specs. Google should be release the Android M near the end of the year, so perhaps they will reveal it then. With four months left, Google still has time to negotiate with Huawei and come up with a great agreement that will satisfy both parties.
Consumers still care more about cost than anything else. Even if Google is able to get the Huawei Nexus into the United States, the affordability of the device will likely attract them the most. As for the consumers of the Chinese market, they will bring plenty of business to Google if the company is able to get their Play Store onto the Nexus phones sold in China. It will be exciting to see how the arrangement between Huawei and Google pans out.
When most people think of Microsoft they don’t often think about Smartphones or tablets. Instead people think of the Windows operating system for the PC. With all the other mobile companies in the marketplace, this has left Microsoft on the lower end of the spectrum. But they are trying hard to make a comeback with their newest Surface 3 LTE tablet. Microsoft already revealed the Surface 3 LTE to a few European countries, but then they announced it would be available to U.S. consumers first. Their 4G Surface 3 is already available through AT&T and T-Mobile. However, you can purchase the unlocked version at any of Microsoft’s retail stores and through any of their third-party sellers and partner outlets.
Microsoft is selling two unlocked versions of their tablet; the 128GB version and the 64GB version. Of course, you will need SIM cards to actually use the 4G part of the tablet, but you can still take advantage of the Wi-Fi if you want to go on the internet. If you do decide to get data service through 4G, then you can purchase SIM cards from T-Mobile or AT&T. As for the actual network carrier service, AT&T has already been given exclusive access to sell the Surface 3 LTE 4G under contract to consumers. T-Mobile will later be able to sell the tablet to their business customers. There is also a rumor that Verizon will start selling it at some point in the future as well.
The big drawback to the Microsoft Surface 3 was its prices when it was announced back in March. The Surface 3 with 64 GB of storage and 2GB of RAM costs $500. And for $100 more, you can purchase the Surface 3 with 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. These prices are about the same as Apple’s iPhones and tablets. So is it worth the price to purchase the Microsoft devices or should you stick with Apple? For one thing, the Surface 3 is a laptop and tablet hybrid. This could make consumers feel like they are getting double the hardware for the price of one. After all, consumers have stated plenty of times that they like having the choice to alternate between a keyboard and touch screen functionality. The Microsoft Surface 3 will give them this freedom to choose.
Microsoft has yet to announce the price they are setting for the Surface 3 LTE version, but some speculators predict it will be $100 more than the Surface 3 versions. This means the 64GB Surface 3 LTE will cost $599 and the 128GB Surface 3 LTE will cost $699. The Surface 3 LTE is currently available in Japan, Germany, France, U.K. and Spain. There is no telling when it will come to the United States.

The downside is that one unit can only go on one drum. A full drum kit will have at least two drums, which means it will cost $1200 for two units. Luckily the hardware for these units is easy to ship, but it won’t be shipping until January of next year. All the drummers out there will just have to wait for the New Year before they add electronic music to the sounds of their band. Some people are disappointed because they wanted to have this sound for their summer festivals. But remember, all good things will come to those who wait. This technology is still in the development phase, so you’ll want it to produce the best quality sounds for you. By the time January comes along, it will be well worth the wait.

Samsung has already become a worthy competitor in the smartwatch marketplace. The thing about smartwatches is that you can’t do too much more to improve them. The only thing you can really do is improve the exterior look. The Apple Watch has a rotating crown that fans of the company seem to enjoy. So in response, Samsung revealed that it will have a rotating bezel in its next smartwatch model. The bezel will be shaped like a circle, which is different than the square shaped bezel of the Apple Watch. Critics believe Samsung is trying to differentiate their watches from Apple’s watches as much as they can by using a different shaped bezel on them. However, the Moto 360 also uses a round bezel design on their smartwatch. But they use the Google Android operating system whereas Samsung uses their own operating system called Tizen OS. Therefore, this operating system may be the only thing besides the round bezel that encourages iOS users and Android users to switch to a Samsung smartwatch.
The smartwatches that have been released in the marketplace so far have relied on simple side buttons and touchscreen tapping in order to operate it. But this can become a problem for people who have fat fingers and end up touching the wrong buttons on the small smartwatch screen. Between this piece of information and the record profits they are making, it looks like FitBit will become a fierce competitor to the Apple Watch.
Sources have already indicated that Fitbit’s wearable will be cheaper than the Apple Watch. However you have to consider that the Apple Watch has all the same fitness apps as the Fitbit wearable, plus a whole lot more. Therefore, it all depends on how important the fitness apps are to you. If you follow video gaming then you have probably heard of the video gaming company, Valve, and their video gaming software known as Steam. This software connects people together by allowing them to play multiplayer games with each other right over the internet. The only thing is that Steam is traditionally for the PC, Mac and Linux computer systems. This means people who want to play these games have to use their monitors, unless they have the right video cables to hook up their computer to a flat screen television set. After years of delays and setbacks, Valve has finally created a Steam gaming console that people can hookup to their television sets. That way people can now play video games through Steam right on their big television sets instead of their smaller monitors. The console will still connect to the user’s Steam account, so they won’t lose any of their games. All they have to do is login to their account through the Steam Machine and then they can just download all of their games right back onto it.
The Steam Machine will create competition for other living room gaming computers, like Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation 4. Right now they are king of multiplayer gaming through consoles. But with the massive amount of people who already use Steam, the new Steam Machine could very well turn people off from those other consoles and cause them to lose money. Not only that, but the Steam Machine will have its own Steam operating system to run games on. This could very well jeopardize the $25 billion market for Windows PC gaming. The majority of the people who use Steam on their computers are using a Windows operating system, which the games require in order to play them. But with the Steam Machine, the games won’t need the Windows operating system anymore. This could cause Microsoft to lose even more business and set them back much further as a company.
The only complication is not all of the 5,000 games on Steam will work with Steam Machine. After all, the original designers of these games were creating them for popular operating systems like Windows and Linux. The Steam OS is brand new and a Linux-based operating system. This means it will only be able to run games that can be run on Linux operating systems. Right now there are over 1,000 games on Steam that could be run on the Steam Machine. But as time goes on and the popularity of the machine increases, the number of approved games is likely to go up.
