This new Windows 8 Asus all-in-one desktop PC has removable 18-inch 1080p touch screen. The tablet acts as a touch display for the Windows 8 desktop when docked. You can switch over from Windows 8 to android by click of a button. You can also interact with windows 8 desktop remotely using the tablet.
18-inch, 10-point multitouch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution turns into a tablet by taking it out of the PC docking station. The tablet measures 465mm x 295mm x 17.8mm (18.3- x 11.6- x 0.7-inch) and weighs about 2.27kg (5 lb). It sports quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip toppled with 2GB of RAM. There is 32GB of built-in storage, but has a microSD card slot for extra storage. Connectivity is Bluetooth, and WiFi. Tablet itself has a 5 hour 38Whr battery and its own kickstand as well.
The 2.72kg (6lb) PC Station features Intel Ivy Bridge cpu with NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M gpu. It has a massive 1TB hard drive, DVD burner, and 8GB of RAM. The dock has HDMI out, 4 USB 3.0 ports, and 1 USB 2.0 port.
Asus Transformer AiO will be available in Canada and US by Q2 for $1299.
