A quad-core 10.1-inch customized Asus android tablet for $299, Asus MeMO Pad Smart 10 tablet is the cheapest Asus tablet available today.
Featuring 1.2GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor with 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in memory, this MeMO Pad Smart tablet is comparable to Asus transformer tablets, only for much less. It is even cheaper than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with much slower dual-core TI OMAP 4 chip. To be frank, comparing it to Transformer Pad TF300T isn’t a fair game. Transformer has better camera, battery, keyboard dock, and more free cloud space. Other specs are the same though.
The MeMo Pad ME301T tablet is, as all Asus tablets, well designed and pretty. It is very thin at 9.9mm (0.39 inch) and light, weighing only 580 grams (1.28 pounds). The storage offered is 16GB plus 5GB of cloud storage. Asus MeMo Pad offers microSD card slot to expand the storage by up to 32GB.

Other peripherals include micro HDMI, and micro USB 2.0. There is no keyboard dock or connector for one either, but you can buy a bluetooth keyboard, and a mouse. Other connectivity includes Bluetooth 3.0, or 802.11 Wi-Fi a/b/g/n.
Software-wise Pad Smart features all Google apps, WebStorage Office, SuperNote Lite, App Locker, and many other apps and access to Google Play Store for more cool apps.
Tegra 3 is a popular processor, albeit no longer the fastest thing on the block, especially with just 1GB of RAM. The release of this tablet has a great timing as NVidia’s Tegra 4 processor will be available this summer and by then Tegra 3 devices will be discounted and discontinued.
The MeMO Pad Smart tablet features customized Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The 10.1-inch IPS screen holds less than perfect 1280 X 800 pixels resolution. This display most likely allowed Asus to price this tablets at such a competitive rate. TrueVivid technology allows 50 percent better color range and 170 degree viewing angle.
The tablet has rear 5 megapixel with auto-focus, Face detection and LED flash and front 1.2 megapixel cameras. 19Wh battery can take you for about 8.5 hours without charge. Asus MeMO Pad Smart ME301T is available now for $299 in black, white, pink and blue.
