Top 3 Smartphones With Innovative Design

We human beings are seeking beauty everywhere, even in our pockets. We want to put our hands in our pockets to take out extremely beautiful things – handmade leather wallets, a bunch of keys with a nice silver pendant and, of course, a stylish smartphone.

I think it won’t be a problem for you to find a wallet or a pendant according to your taste, that’s why I’d like to speak about the most stylish phones with interesting and innovative design released in 2011.

1. Nokia Lumia 800 / N9

There are many stylish smartphones created by companies like HTC or RIM, but the worst thing is – they’re all made in the same “HTC-ish” or “BlackBerrish” style, so they all look like each other. Even Samsung phones are all in the same style. So if you want a unique phone that can be recognized from the first sight, you should probably consider buying one of the latest Nokia phones – the Nokia N9 or the Nokia Lumia 800.

These two phones are different from the inside since they run different platforms, but have the same innovative design with injection moulded polycarbonate plastic body that looks simple yet very, very stylish. These new Nokia phones are buttonless, with nice bevel edged AMOLED displays protected by Gorilla Glass. Besides, most smartphones are black or white, and the N9/Lumia 800 are available in bright colours like magenta and cyan, too.

Here’s the designer’s story about the Nokia N9/Lumia 800:

2. Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

At the beginning of 2011 Sony Ericsson did something that was never done before – created a smartphone for gamers – the Xperia Play, which is no doubt one of the most unique Android phones ever. At the first glance the Xperia Play looks like an ordinary smartphone from the Xperia line with four buttons under the 4-inch touchscreen. But this phone has a little “secret,” too – a hidden Slide-out game-pad with shoulder buttons (which has much in common with Sony’s Dual Shock controller from Playstation Game Consoles) that makes it a great device for playing any kind of games.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a rather powerful device, too, armed with a 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, a 1500mAH battery and Android 2.3 Gingerbread that will most likely be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
If you’re a gamer, maybe you should probably buy the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Together with some game wallpapers it will really accentuate your personality.

3. Motorola Defy/Defy Plus

Many people start panicking when they accidentally drop their phones, so I think staying calm, even indifferent in such situations is really… stylish. And who can stay calm even when dropping his favorite phone? Right, the person who knows nothing will happen to the phone.

At the end of 2010 Motorola created the famous Defy – a rugged yet very stylish phone that is shock, dust and water resistant, so you can drop it on the floor or even put it in a big cup of water not being afraid of the consequences.

Then, in September of 2011 Motorola launched the upgraded version of the Defy, the Defy Plus, armed with a more powerful processor and battery and running Android 2.3 Gingerbread instead of Android 2.1 (upgradable to 2.2). The 3.7-inch displays of both phones are protected from scratches and other damages by Gorilla Glass, the side sections are all covered by Torx head screws making the phone waterproof.

At the latest CES we witnessed just another android phone Defy Mini from Motorola. Mini would serve as a great smartphone starter.
