Solution: Vertical Alignment button not working in SONY VAIO P

  • Sharebar

In case, you have a fresh Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation on your VAIO P, you might have noticed that SONY has NOT provided any application/driver to get it working. Actually, there is no need for a driver at all. While lurking online, I was actually able to find a solution to this problem. Here is how to do it:

  • Fire up the notepad application
  • There write this CreateObject(“Shell.Application”).TileVertically
  • Save it somewhere on your hard disk, not on any removable storage
  • make sure you name the file as tile.vbs
  • Open vaio control center
  • Go to buttons>s button
  • Choose application from the drop down menu>all files
  • select the VBS file you created before from the directory you stored it into
  • voila!

Here is a screenshot to guide you: (click to view it in its full resolution)
