Solution: Vertical Alignment button not working in SONY VAIO P
In case, you have a fresh Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation on your VAIO P, you might have noticed that SONY has NOT provided any application/driver to get it working. Actually, there is no need for a driver at all. While lurking online, I was actually able to find a solution to this problem. Here is how to do it:
- Fire up the notepad application
- There write this CreateObject(“Shell.Application”).TileVertically
- Save it somewhere on your hard disk, not on any removable storage
- make sure you name the file as tile.vbs
- Open vaio control center
- Go to buttons>s button
- Choose application from the drop down menu>all files
- select the VBS file you created before from the directory you stored it into
- voila!
