Poker fans have plenty of gadgets at their disposal, especially if you use a broad definition of just what a “gadget” is. While it’s still hard to play Texas Hold Em online for real money on iPads, iPhones, or Android phones, there are a ton of poker apps available for all of those that let you play for play money or battle it out at the poker tables versus computer opponents.
As far as other poker apps and software available, you can find plenty of programs that act as a virtual poker guide for you, including software tools that can calculate odds and percentages for you and can track your own play as well as that of your opponents. Other apps can display stats on the actual tables as you play online, as well as track your profits and losses for every single hand played.
As far as more pure-play poker gadgets, there’s the PokerControls wireless poker controller that gives you a dedicated controller (somewhat similar to an PS3 or Xbox controller) with buttons and a betting wheel designed specifically for online poker. It’s compatible with all the major online poker sites and can unchain poker fans from their mouse or laptop, letting them play multiple tables at once from the comfort of their couch or favorite chair.
