How To: Reinstall Ubuntu quickly (Linux)

  • Sharebar

Many times, something goes wrong with the upgrade procedures, thus resulting in unsuccessful upgrade. There is a simple command that one can use to re-install all the packages. Just type the following in the terminal,

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh -a

Note that it will take upto 1 hour to get everything back working as it will download all the packages from Internet and install them

  5. andy says:

    I got message:
dpkg-trigger: dpkg-trigger must be called from a maintainer script (or with a –by-package option)
    nothing has to rollback
