Personalize the news feeds with My Taptu
My Taptu is a social news aggregator. The premise is that RSS feeds will continue to feed you with information, but not all these information are relevant for you so you will not want to have them cluttering your news feed list. According to Taptu CEO Mitch Lazar, there is a filtering failure in RSS feeds. With the help of My Taptu, you can gain more control of the streams of news that you subscribe to.
My Taptu looks to provide more control over the news streams and displaying them in an at-a-glance view that lets users easily access the information. I like to think of it as a never ending magazine experience that is built around my interests.
What you can do is go for single streams based on one website or you can offer more control over the news feeds that are curated by the editorial team from a number of sources. You can take advantage of the customization methods and you can use various categories like politics, health, etc. Feeds for social media sites are also possible. You can set the feeds either vertically or horizontally. If you hit end, the list will get refreshed the app is available at the Apple App store and the Android Market. The next direction of course is for the iPad and we cannot wait till we see how it is developed for the larger screens. It is a fantastic tool if you want your news aggregated in a more organized and customized manner.
