iCloud
We now have information regarding a new innovation on Apple said by the man himself. The iCloud allows the user to store content in the cloud and it pushes the data to your Apple device using wireless connection. This app automatically uploads and stores the data and the data push also works intuitively. Automatic is the operative term here since all data process including app backups, synchronization and other important processes are done effortlessly between all iOS devices. Contrary to rumors, there will be no advertising and the synchronization of Mail, Calendar and Contact will be free. Another new feature is the Photo Stream on the cloud. This is a gallery of all the pictures available on your iOS devices, Apple TV, Apple computers and even PC. All these sync to the cloud, allowing you to access them using the cloud instead of going from one gadget to another. The image stays on the cloud for 30 days. This new app will be released concurrent with the release of the iPhone 5 which is expected early this fall.
There is another tool or service that Apple also released and it is called iTunes Match. This is a paid service that costs $25 a year and what it does is scan your iTunes and then it populates your iTunes Cloud in an AAC-DRM-free format as long as the title is present on the iTunes Store.
Mobile Me is no longer available. You can still access and manage all your data till June 2012 but there will be no more further enrollments. If you are on an Auto renewal program, you will be pleasantly surprised since the funds will be sent back to you.

This looks cool, I’m wondering how it could pull people away from tools they’re already using, though. Where’s the unique advantage?
