Here are the complete specifications of the Apple iPad according to various online sources:

The Apple iPad is powered by an Apple A4 processor that runs at 1GHz clock speed. It comes with 16GB-64GB flash storage. Equipped with a 9.7-inch capacitive display with 1024-by-768-pixel resolution, it is packed with a variety of wireless radios – Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1. However, there is no 3G built-in. Update – There will be 3G models too that will cost $130 more. Apple is claiming that the iPad can run upto 10 hours on a single charge. Compass and accelerometer are also built-in, just like iPhone

Regarding the application compatibility, all the old iPhone apps are compatible. That said, newer apps will be required to use the new SDK that will be made available soon.

The iPad is made from fully recyclable materials which means that it is completely environment friendly just like rest of the Apple products.
