iPad China

Apple has lost a lawsuit in China allowing it to use iPad name and sell iPad in mainland China. Preparation of launching iPad in People’s republic of China had halted. Proview Technology is trying to stop all distributors from selling iPad in the entire country claiming that Apple does not own the rights to sell their product.

Xie Xianghui, lawyer for Proview Technology claims that Proview owns iPad trademark in China since 2001. Claim has been made at Pudong district court in Shanghai and later this month we shall hear the verdict. Will iPad be allowed in China, or will it be banned nationwide and Apple ordered to pay $38 million to Proview Technology?
