Free Ice Cream Sandwich For LG Optimus

LG has announced plans to upgrade its smartphones with the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS. LG announced the plans in a Facebook post which promised that the Optimus Black, Optimus 3D and Optimus LTE will all receive OTA (over-the-air) updates to the new Android OS.

LG added that the company is “continuing to evaluate the ICS OS to determine whether it is compatible with the functionality, features and performance of other LG smart phones.” We’re pleased to see manufacturers updating phones to keep up with the rapid Android development path, rather than letting phones become outdated within six months of release.
