Archos Arnova 9 G2 Arrives In US
The Archos Arnova 9 G2 is now available for $230 in the US. It features a 9.7-inch display and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The tablet has been on sale in mainland Europe since November and although it lacks full access to The Android Market it does feature Archos’ AppLib Store, with quite a good selection of apps and games.
Arnova 9 G2 features a 1024 x 768 pixel capacitive display, and The CPU is an ARM Cortex A8 1GHz single-core processor. There’s only 512MB RAM inside, but the Android OS runs pretty well nonetheless, with only the occasional hitch when opening apps without closing others first. There are 4GB RAM onboard storage with a microSDHC card slot for expansion. WiFi- g is provided for connectivy – there’s is no Bluetooth. Battery life is good for 4 hours of movies, and sound is excellent. The tablet weighs in at just 1.4 pounds.
