Archos Arnova 10 G2 – Deal
Archos Arnova 10 G2 is a 10.1″ 1024 x 600 pixel resolution touschscreen, powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex-8 CPU and running the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The device is a member of Arnova’s budget-line range of tablets and media players. The Philadelphia Daily News and Inquirer newspapers recently partnered with french manufacturer Archos to offer the Arnova 10 G2 for $99 when subscribing to their digital subscriptions, and thus the Archos Arnova 10 G2 came to the US.
But now there’s no need to sign up for a newspaper – TigerDirect is now selling the Arnova 10 G2for just $199.99. Although lacking such top-end tablet features as dual-core processor or Android latest Honeycomb OS, the Archos Arnova 10 G2 does feature a g-sensor, mic and speaker, and 1080p HD video playback support, as well as 720p video recording. Admittedly the 4GB on-board storage probably needs to be expanded via the microSDHC card slot, but all in all the Arnova 10 G2 represents a very good deal indeed. It does lack official support for the Google Android Market at present. Though the thriving Archos development community is sure to add that in the very near future, as is usually the case with Archos devices.
