ROCCAT Plans To Launch In US at CES 2012
January’s Consumer Electronic Show CES in Las Vegas will be a big event for german peripherals manufacturer ROCCAT, when it makes its first appearance in the US, where it will launch its flagship Isku illuminated keyboard and the Kone[+] mouse. Consumers will be expected to pay a handsome price for that german engineering know-how; ROCCAT keyboards sell for around $150 in Europe, with its mice fetching $100. And it’s not us stereotyping – the marketing slogan at yesterday’s announcement was Get some serious German engineering into your game.
ROCCAT is also expected to bring surround sound headsets to the Las Vegas 2012 CES, where it will launch its gaming peripheral range in North America, already popular in Europe and Asia. Rene Korte, founder and CEO of ROCCAT, says, ‘Pro gamers in other parts of the world already know what our gear can do. Now’s our chance to share that excitement with American gamers.’
The Hamburg-based outfit positions itself as a premium-brand offering extreme style and hyper-advanced performance, all based on teutonic-engineering prowess. ROCCAT will unveil two flagship peripherals at the CES in January – the Isku Illuminated Gaming Keyboard and the Kone[+] Max Customization Gaming Mouse . ROCCAT also plans to showcase its ROCCAT Talk, a technology which allows compatible devices to communicate, which they claim will allow gamers to command forces or control avatars better to give them a winning advantage . In preparation for the launch ROCCAT has begun its ROCCAT WTF! World Tour Facebook Contest to celebrate online gaming.
