REVIEW: HTC Diamond Leather Cases of PDAir – Book type and Sleeve type
HTC Diamond has been the most popular windows mobile device of 2008. The Diamond is sleek and beautiful. But, just like any other (expensive) mobile phone, it will require some protection.
When it comes to protection, I choose anything but PDAir. PDAir has established itself as one of the best cases manufacturer. I am not saying this because they are our sponsor, but their quality speaks for itself.
I got myself 2 leather cases for the HTC Diamond. One of book type and other is sleeve type. I ordered two because I wanted to see which one is the one I will be finding useful the most and which one will provide the most protection.
Let us take a look at the book type. I got myself the dull red color case as it looks elegant and is quite different from the rest of the black cases. I’m pretty sure that the black one would look equally elegant, but since I’ve always bought black cases in the past, I wanted to try something different. Please note that you can click on any picture to see the larger version of image being used.
The case is very nicely stitched. I expected nothing less from the PDAir. The device fits quite snugly into the case.
The case has magnetic enclosure on the outside.
The case also has a big hole at the back which provides access to the camera. This is really nice considering the fact that you don’t have to take the case out just to take a snap via HTC Diamond.

All the controls are accessible from within the case. Adequate amount of opening has been given at the bottom of the unit to provide access to the ext-USB connector. Power button is easily accessible from the top.
..so are the volume buttons located on the side of the unit.

Now, let us take a look at the brown sleeve type case for the HTC Diamond.
This is a case for the people who don’t want to flip open the case and want all the controls avaible. This is my favorite type of case. The case is very nicely designed.
Here is how it looks from the top. Notice that the case is closed from the top. The enclosure is non-magnetic.
From the bottom.
All the controls in the front are exposed so that they can be used easily.
There are holes on the front face of the case. I had no problems in listening to other party.
PDAir did a lot of homework with this case. They made sure that the people who would be buying this case would like to have all the controls accessible all the time.
Two words for the back of this case: SEXY and elegant. I’ve O2 Ignito and the camera was usable as the hole is pretty big. I’m 100% sure that all other Diamond variants of similar size won’t face any problem either.
In both the cases, the overall unit still maintains a slim profile.
All the leather cases cost $28 with free shipping to anywhere (on earth) ;)
