ASUS EEE PC 701, 700, 702 LEATHER CASE made by CarryMobile Review

Today, when I received a leather case for my ASUS EEE PC from carrymobile delivered by Hong Kong post, I could stop myself tearing the whole box apart as I have been waiting for so long for this. I had heard so many good things about this leather case and was waiting desparetly to try them out. In this review, I’ve also attatched large pictures at the end of this post.

There have been plenty of cases available for the ASUS EEE PCs. Since, the size of the ASUS EEE PC 700s and 900s is pretty small, it is nice to use the in the leather case itself. Such type of cases have always done well in case of PDAs and iPhones but how do such cases perform in case of bigger devices like NetBooks. Read this article and find it my experience. Please note that the case for EEE PC 900s have similar features and quality.

Build and Construction

The case is very well made. It is designed to fully protect your device while you carry it and use it. You don’t need to look around for the poor quality nylon case for the ASUS EEE PC which just does not provide adequate amount of protection to the EEE PC.

The leather case has all the ports accessible. Every single feature and port of the ASUS EEE PC can be used while keeping the EEE PC still in it’s case. This is the main reason I went for this leather case as I didn’t want myself to take the ASUS EEE PC out of it’s leather case once it is inside the case.

The back of the case if mostly plain with just proper opening for the AC-in so that you can plug-in the AC adapter and still use the device in it’s case. Nice job Carrymobile

Proper openings have been done for the LED indicators.

..and for the Trackpad too. Many of you would be thinking that I must have faced problems using the trackpad. But, this is not true at all. The leather case has been very accurately designed and I faced no problems at all.

The flip of the leather case falls back on the surface. It has 5 slots in which you can keep 4 memory cards and 1 credit card.

Holes have been made at the bottom of the case to let the heat escape from the unit properly. I never faced any problems with the unit getting over-heated and all the vents of the EEE PC were able to blow the air out properly.

It has a Carrymobile logo at the bottom right of the case.
