ASUS Eee Box EB1501P – Review
The compact ASUS Eee Box EB1501P is a multimedia box that offers Full 1080p HD multimedia and snappy multitasking execution, thanks to an Intel Atom D525 dual-core CPU and next-gen NVidia Ion graphics.
Port-wise, Asus have provided HDMI and VGA sockets, an eSata port, 2 USB 3.0 sockets and 4 USB 2 ports, WiFi-n, a VESA mounting bracket and Energy Start and EPEAT, and a wireless keyboard and mouse are thrown in too. The Asus Eee Box measures a cute 7.6 x 7.6 x 1.53 inches, hence the ‘Box’ nomenclature. It weighs a weedy 2.64 lb.
VESA mount enables the Eee Box to fit snugly behind a monitor in either the home or office, eliminating any ‘cable bolognese’.The ASUS Eee Box EB1501P is fully convertible to a multimedia hub if you connect to an HDTV for hi-def visuals and 5.1 channel surround-sound. The USB 3.0 ports enables devices to be charged super-quickly and of course greatly speed up data transfer, GM is glad to see a pair of the new hi-speed sockets, which gives more flexibilty (ie speed) to the user.
