Acer 1820PT review

When the Acer announced its first convertible tablet, it captured whole world’s attention – why? Well, because unlike most of the convertible tablets released so far by the other companies this one flaunted an 11.6-inch display, which makes it pretty portable computer.

It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and comes with 8GB RAM and 320GB hard disk drive that should be enough to store your media files. The display is capacitive, just like the one found on iPhone and Android phones. At $599, we think that it is intelligently priced as it costs around hundred dollars more than the netbooks, but packs much more punch than the latter.

Acer Aspire Timeline 1820PT finally makes its appearance over Acer’s US website

The Acer Aspire 1820PT, which is mostly referred to as Aspire 1810T with touchscreen swivel display has made its appearance over the US website. Its specs are exactly the same as the Acer Aspire 1810T expect for one for the fact that it’s available with SD 1024×600 resolution too. There are actually two variations of it: one comes with 1366×768 and another comes with 1024×600 resolution.

If those specs are true, then this is going to be the first netbook (convertible) with 11.6-inch 1024×600 display.
